Please be aware that to qualify for our Internship Placement, students must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines) and returning to their studies after the 12 month placement concludes.

Purpose of the internship

The Global Internship Programme is an exciting opportunity to get first-hand experience in a world-class marketing organisation. As part of our programme, you will be an active member of a professional and dynamic team in one of eleven locations. You will receive on-the-job learning and guided mentoring from our highly experienced teams while having access to global markets, exclusive trade events, interdisciplinary networks and most importantly, career building opportunities. Note: This placement may involve some travel and work outside normal business hours.

Set up under the auspices of the Good Friday Agreement, Tourism Ireland plays an important role as a North South body for a key industry on the island of Ireland, serving both Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Key Results AreaThe Business Events & Luxury Intern will gain experience working with the team:

* Assist in the execution of marketing plans under the 'Meet in Ireland' brand and 'Where Luxury Comes Naturally' brand, in collaboration with overseas colleagues, industry partners, and sister agencies Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Northern Ireland.
* Assist in coordinating and delivering overseas events, workshops, and B2B activities, including logistics such as venue booking, travel arrangements, supplier liaison, stand design, and post-event reporting.
* Represent Tourism Ireland at overseas tradeshows such as IBTM and ILTM — including welcoming visitors to the stand, supporting receptions and networking events, delivering presentations, and providing general assistance throughout the event.
* Assist in the development and deployment of marketing materials including e-newsletters, social media posts, image galleries, branded materials for events.
* Prepare presentations and reports (monthly activity, quarterly KPI, staff updates) and ensure internal systems are regularly updated.
* Provide administrative and financial support, including updating budgets, raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and maintaining records.
* Organise internal meetings (virtual and in-person) and assist with travel arrangements for team members and external events.
* Undertake special projects as assigned and provide day-to-day support to the Business Events & Luxury team.
* Provide cover to Reception when required.
* Ensure adherence to the company's GDPR compliance policies and procedures in respect of your area of work.
* Such other duties as the company may from time-to-time reasonably require.

The PersonThe successful intern will possess the following experience, knowledge and skills, competencies, and qualifications: Essential

* Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (all disciplines will be considered).
* Must be returning to complete studies after the completion of the placement.
* The legal right to live and work on the island of Ireland for the full duration of the programme.
* Fluent English, both oral and written, is required.
* Proficient in MS Office.
* Willingness to travel and work occasional unsocial hours.
