As a Night Shift Supervisor, you will be a key part of our operation, focusing on team leadership and high standards. You will deliver world-class food & service for our schools, setting the standard and guiding your team daily.
This is a full-time night role, working 40 hours per week, from Sunday to Thursday, aligned with the academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify and implement improvements to the production process in collaboration with other leaders by reviewing trends and proactively reporting results and actions.
2. Plan staffing and processes within your shift.
3. Supervise, manage, train, and develop staff.
4. Coordinate with the Quality Department to maintain high standards for pest control, temperature control, and environmental conditions.
5. Lead daily toolbox talks to address production strengths, weaknesses, and potential threats.
6. Ensure swift reporting and management of accidents or near misses.
7. Monitor and minimize noise issues in yard areas.
8. Oversee driver compliance with dispatch schedules and service requirements.
9. Ensure completion of internal and external cleaning schedules.
10. Report and address facilities or maintenance issues, liaising with contractors as needed.
11. Ensure all products are dispatched correctly.
12. Carry out daily meal container reconciliation, segregation, palletisation, and return preparation.
13. Perform stock taking duties and familiarize yourself with the stock management system.
14. Ensure raw material picking is completed and staged for return.
15. Send a nightly report covering all shift activities and issues.
16. Facilitate effective shift handovers between day and night teams.
About You:
1. At least 3 years of food production or warehousing experience in a chilled supply chain environment.
2. Minimum of 2 years of people management and staff supervision experience.
3. Good understanding of stock management and control systems.
4. Ideally, hold a forklift license.
