Job Summary
This role is part of the overall EHS team, responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing specific EHS programs onsite. The position focuses on promoting a strong health and safety culture, providing advice and support to Line Management and departments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Promote and instill a strong health and safety culture.
* Provide health and safety advice, assistance, and support to Line Management and departments.
* Act as content expert in relation to assigned EHS programs.
* Development and completion of risk assessments - area and task related.
* Support accident/incident investigation and root cause analysis.
* Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
* Analyze data, identify trends, and define focus areas.
Qualifications:
* A minimum of a NFQ Level 8 qualification in a core EHS discipline OR a science, chemical/process engineering-related third-level qualification, along with the completion of either a Post Grad. Diploma or MSc. in an EHS discipline.
* A Core EHS qualification is mandatory for this role.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Relevant Industrial Experience: 1-2 years in a similar role.
* Effective Communication: Strong oral and written skills to engage with customers on safety matters.
* Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team with minimal supervision.
* Self-Motivation: Proactive and driven, with a strong sense of initiative.
* Efficiency and Problem-Solving: Demonstrates efficient work methods, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* EHS Management Systems Knowledge: Practical application of EHS Management Systems in industry, with the ability to present and explain EHS data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Presentation Skills: Excellent presentation abilities to convey information clearly and effectively.
