Excellent opportunity to join a leading global manufacturing business.
We are seeking an experienced General Manager with a strong sales background to lead our leadership team on a 6-12 month contract.
You will report into the Group Operations Director and be responsible for ensuring targets are met, maintaining safety and wellbeing of all team members, and engaging with Group leadership to contribute to ongoing development of Group activities.
This is an £8-10 million turnover business with up to 70 employees on site, manufacturing products supplied globally.
Your direct reports will include the Sales Director, Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Planning & Scheduling teams.
You will ensure production targets are achieved to meet OI requirements, provide support to the Planning & Scheduling Manager, manage change through the business, and secure buy-in from the workforce through the leadership team and Executive Committee.
Additionally, you will oversee the business's sales and production strategies, holding regular meetings with various teams.
You will work closely with the Sales Director to develop action plans to grow the business and profitability, and react to market changes by encouraging product development within budgeted timescales, costs, and margins.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Weekly meetings with Leadership, Engineering, HR, and Quality teams
* Monitoring relevant commodities, energy, economic, and geopolitical concerns
* Regular Health & Safety floor walks and addressing H&S issues as needed
* Collaboration with Finance, production, Sales, and Engineering to assess capital expenditure requirements
