Job Title
The Role:
As a Corporate Governance Professional, you will be responsible for supporting the effective governance and operation of our organization and its committees in line with established codes and practices. Reporting to the Chairperson, you will be responsible for ensuring timely preparation and distribution of agendas and meeting papers, attending meetings, recording accurate minutes and actions, and maintaining appropriate records and document retention.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing agendas in collaboration with the Chairperson
* Coordinating, distributing, and archiving meeting papers and minutes
* Ensuring timely communication of draft minutes and action logs
* Tracking and following up on committee actions
* Providing governance advice to the Chairperson and the Board
* Supporting the induction and mentoring of new Board members
* Maintaining the register of disclosed interests in line with policy
The role requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong communication skills and a commitment to governance excellence, confidentiality, and compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
Requirements
Essential skills and qualifications:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent qualification
* Previous experience working in a corporate governance role, ideally in a public sector or corporate secretarial department
* In-depth knowledge of codes of practice and policies governing governance and operations
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and influence at all levels
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work as part of an on/off-site team environment, self-manage and prioritise daily workload
* Strong technical and IT skills with high proficiency in MS Office programs, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Competitive salary package - €80,000 - €100,000
