About the Role:
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will support Sitecore’s commercial and compliance operations across EMEA sales regions. You will lead the drafting and negotiation of customer-facing contracts—including outbound licenses, SaaS/cloud agreements, and service offerings—and support vendor and supplier agreements. You will also contribute to broader compliance and corporate initiatives. You will also negotiate Data Processing Agreements as part of standard SaaS contracting, working closely with the Data Protection legal team on escalated issues.
This role requires a strategic, business-minded attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across geographies.
What You’ll Do:
Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, primarily software licensing and SaaS/cloud agreements, including risk assessment and internal approvals
Negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and related privacy terms as part of standard contracting workflows, with support from DP legal as needed
Serve as the primary legal interface for the sales organization, offering strategic guidance and ensuring process compliance, answering first level of privacy and data protection queries
Maintain and evolve contract templates, playbooks, and clause libraries
Deliver internal training on legal policies and processes
Collaborate with Finance, Privacy and Product teams to implement and oversee legal compliance programs
Support general corporate matters and special projects as needed

What You Need to Succeed:
Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
Law degree and license to practice law
Proven expertise in SaaS/cloud contracts, intellectual property rights, and software licensing
Demonstrated ability to advise on global privacy and data protection frameworks and to negotiate DPAs, SCCs, and related contract terms in SaaS environments
Ability to translate business needs into pragmatic legal solutions with clear, concise drafting
