Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate maintenance technicians to ensure safe and effective execution of duties supporting production and building operations.
2. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all machinery and equipment according to maintenance schedules.
3. Maintain all internal building systems (electrical, plumbing, compressed air, etc.)
4. Execute the maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and liaise with relevant departments.
5. Assist in shutdown planning and organize related documentation and activities.
6. Coordinate planned downtime with the Production Manager and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
7. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures; review and implement updates with the H&S Department.
8. Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of maintenance team members in conjunction with HR.
9. Ensure employees adhere to company policies and procedures; manage disciplinary actions as necessary.
10. Maintain discipline, morale, and harmonious personnel relations.
11. Manage and motivate team members, including performance management and training development plans.
12. Oversee installation of equipment and machinery.
13. Manage procurement of parts and supplies required for maintenance activities.
14. Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with procedures and contract terms.
15. Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the maintenance function.
16. Attend relevant training, classes, or seminars.
17. Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
18. 3rd level qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, or related discipline (Diploma, Trade qualification, etc.)
19. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
20. Proficient and confident in using computer systems
21. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
22. Experience with mechanics and pneumatics
23. Full B Driving Licence
