Social Care Worker, Riverview Childrens Residential Centre Permanent Full-Time Contract (2 Positions Available) Applications are invited for the position of Social Care Workerin Riverview.
Riverview provides accommodation and support for young girls aged ***** years who are out of home or transitioning from other care settings.
Within the residential centre, the Social Care Worker will work as part of a team to provide a caring, warm, nurturing and safe environment for young people.
This is a full time contract, involving 39 hours per week.
The role involves shift work, including weekdays, weekend shifts along with sleepover shifts.
Essential Requirements: A recognised professional qualification in Social Care Registered with, or eligible for registration with CORU A professional, caring, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable young people Strong communication skills with the ability to handle information confidentially and appropriately Roles & Responsibilities: Reporting to the management team in Riverview the successful candidate will: Establish and maintain trusting, supportive relationships with young people Demonstrate a strong understanding of Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children Liaise effectively and professionally with colleagues within Good Shepherd Cork and external agencies Demonstrate excellent team-working and interpersonal skills Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Implement all organisational procedures and policies including health & Safety and Child Protection guidelines Show a genuine interest in the work of Good Shepherd Cork and commitment to its vision, mission and values Undertake any additional duties appropriate to the role as assigned from time to time For Further information on this role and to request an application form please contact: Kris Grace, Riverview Manager at Closing date: Wednesday 11th February **** Skills: Social Care, CORU, Residential Care Benefits: Pension Fund Flexitime
