Person in Charge Residential Services Moore Haven Residential Services Location: Tipperary Town Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Pay: €54,000 - €60,00 Per Year Job Description Moore Haven Centre is seeking an experienced Person in Charge to manage our Residential Services in Tipperary Town.
This is a leadership role responsible for ensuring the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred service while effectively managing staff, resources, and compliance with HIQA standards and the Health Act (2007) Regulations.
Key Responsibilities Quality, Safety & Risk Discharge the role in line with HIQA, the Health Act (2007), and associated regulations Implement, maintain, and monitor policies, procedures, and safeguarding systems Maintain a Risk Register and ensure timely escalation of incidents Monitor and improve service quality through audits, inspections, and quality improvement plans Person-Centred Service Provision Ensure service users are at the centre of all service provision Maintain up-to-date assessments, person-centred plans, and support plans Involve families and multi-disciplinary teams in care planning Promote access to independent advocacy for residents Manage service user finances in line with policies Ensure complaints are handled effectively Management of Staff & Resources Build and lead an effective staff team Manage staff performance and attendance Chair monthly team meetings and maintain records Implement professional development, supervision, and training for staff Ensure rostering meets service needs, payroll, and budget requirements Manage leave allocation and staffing resources effectively Qualifications & Experience Meet the requirements of the Health Act (2007) Regulations (2013) for a Person in Charge QQI Level 8 (Honours) Degree in Social Care/Social Care Studies or equivalent Recognised management course OR currently enrolled (desirable) Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in intellectual disability social care Minimum 3 years management/leadership experience in a healthcare setting Strong knowledge of HIQA standards, national disability policies, and regulations Excellent computer literacy and report writing skills Up-to-date valid Irish Driving Licence Benefits HSE-linked salary with fortnightly pay Competitive Salary: €54,000 - €60,000 7% employer pension contribution Online GP access, family care and wellbeing support Employee Assistance Programme (for staff and families) Free on-site parking Ongoing training and professional development To Apply Submit your up-to-date CV and cover letter via email to.
