The role of the Home Care Supervisor is to develop the clinical and practice expertise of health and social care assistants within the Bluebird Care organisation. They will have a key role in supporting and managing the performance, practice and functional elements of the care assistant role. This role is a full time role based in our Navan office servicing the County of Meath.
The role of the Home Care Supervisor will:
* Conduct scheduled and unannounced care supervision visits in a wide variety of home care settings across Co.Meath
Conduct client assessments and develop personalised care plans.
* Oversee the accurate maintenance of supervision records
Participate in care activities as part of the care supervision process
* Conduct Home Environment Risk Assessments and complete care plans to reflect same
Complete care plan reviews and service reviews
* Give care assistants appropriate information and guidance to effectively and safely provide care and support as agreed in the care and support plan.
* Support, supervise and assist with training of care assistants
* Employ a best practice approach in the care of customers
* Work under the direction and supervision of the Area Operations Manager
* The Care Supervisor role will involve appraising the practice performance of care assistants and comply with allocated practice supervisions
* Build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues.
* Provide ongoing training and mentorship to Carers.
Qualifications
* QQI/FETAC L5 Major award for Health Care Skills (Full Modules)
* L6 Supervisory Management essential (healthcare industry desirable). (Level 6 an advantage but not essential as training can be provided)
* Computer literacy/administration is desirable
* Patient Moving and Handling
* Risk Assessment knowledge is desirable
Experience:
* Experience as a Carer, Healthcare Assistant, or in a similar supervisory role, preferably within the home care industry.
* Have a relevant health or social care background
* Previous experience of risk assessment and person centred care and support planning
* Experience of working in a home care services environment is desirable
* Full Drivers License. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role

Employment Type:
* This role is a full time role based in our Navan office servicing the County of Meath.
Office/Clients Homes in Co.Meath
* Monday to Friday (9am - 5.30pm)
* Annual Leave: 21 days per annum including Good Friday.
* Bonus: Tax Free Bonus of up to €1,500 per year. €500 discharged in Summer Months, €1,000 discharged in December. Fully discretionary by the company.
