E&I Construction Lead Job Description
The Electrical & Instrumentation Construction Supervisor will play a pivotal role in the Construction Team, responsible for ensuring timely and proper construction of the E&I scope. This entails adherence to safety and quality standards, detailed design specifications, contracts, SOPs, work instructions, and applicable industry standards.
* Support the Construction Manager (CM) with constructability reviews and interactive planning sessions involving the Client and Design Team.
* Ensure the construction phase is adequately resourced with qualified personnel, plant, tools, temporary facilities, and other necessary resources.
* Guide Field Supervisors by enforcing best-in-class site execution SOPs.
* Ensure compliance with construction methods, procedures, and practices, particularly in relation to safety, quality assurance, personnel management, and industrial relations; identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
* Maintain adherence to statutory and legal requirements relevant to construction activities.
* Understand and apply Health and Safety regulations in line with employee responsibilities.
* Stay updated on developments in the construction industry and promote continuous improvement and capability development within the team.
* Ensure projects are constructed according to drawings, specifications, standards, and good construction practices, while meeting schedule and budget requirements.
* Assess and appraise contractor work, reporting results according to established practices.
* Review contractor progress reports and provide input for weekly CM reports to the Client.
