Post 1265 Payroll Supervisor (Grade V)
Finance Department
Full-Time – Permanent
National Blood Centre
The IBTS is currently recruiting a full-time, permanent Payroll Supervisor based in the Finance Department, National Blood Centre.
The purpose of this post is to
* Manage and develop the payroll function with the IBTS
* Supervise staff within the payroll function and actively develop their skills and expertise whilst fostering a team based approach.
* Support the development of the finance function by timely reporting of key financial data and the development of internal controls.
The person in addition to having a high level of aptitude for financial issues should also have excellent analytical, administrative and communication skills. The person should also be skilled in the use of information technology, financial modelling and report writing. Experience of public health sector payroll would be an advantage. The person will report directly to the Management Accountant, or any other person designated by him/her.
* At least five year’s experience operating in a payroll function
* Extensive knowledge and experience of processing payroll, pension and statutory pay overs ie. Possess the in-depth skills and expertise to manage the day to day operations
* Excellent attention to detail, a problem solver and results driven
* Very good interpersonal skills including proficient communication
* Ability to work on their own initiative and cross functionally across different teams.
* Staff management and development skills
* Public Sector pay experience
The salary scale attached to the post is the Grade V scale €51,206 to €61,253 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience.

* A citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA) – EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway
* A citizen of United Kingdom (UK)
* A citizen of Switzerland in regards to the agreement between the EU and Switzerland on the movement of people
* A non-EEA citizen who has a stamp 4 visa
* A person awarded international protection under the International Protection Act 2015, or any family member entitled to remain in the State as a result of family reunification and has a stamp 4 visa or
* A non-EEA citizen who is a parent of a dependant child who is a citizen of and resident in an EEA member state if the UK or Switzerland and has a stamp 4 visa.
