Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the most renowned Sustainability M&E Engineering Consultancies in Ireland. The consultancy has 15 years' experience working with some of the largest blue-chip organisations in the world.
You will have the ability to run medium sized projects, undertake a client facing role in the development, design and co-ordination of engineering projects.
Role Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the delivery of European data centre and mission critical projects.
2. Responsible for running of medium size projects. Undertakes a client facing role in the development and design and coordination of engineering project services for Mechanical or Electrical installations, systems, equipment, facilities etc.
3. Develops and specifies applications of controls, instruments, and operating systems for all building engineering services purposes
4. Surveys tests and reports on existing electrical/mechanical installations
5. Specifies activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing confirm to functional specifications and customer requirements
6. Day to day decision making on project progress and direct liaison with and provides advice to client
7. Represents Company at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors teams
8. Carries out engineering calculations to ensure drawings meet required robust industry and legal standards
9. Responsible for technical content and accuracy of Trainee, Graduates and Engineers
10. Validation and checking of designs and specifications
Experience
11. BEng, MSc, and have sufficient experience
12. MCIBSE/MIEE or HNC/HND + appropriate experience or equivalent
13. Working towards Chartered Eng status
Skills/Specific Knowledge
14. Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types
15. Sound knowledge of key Health and Safety issues and legislation
16. Knowledge of MS Office applications word, excel etc
17. Ability to use IT based calculation and spreadsheet software
18. Good understanding of BS standards
19. Ability to prioritise own workload
20. Ability to work to deadlines
21. Managerial Skills
