Sales Representative for Industrial Wood Coatings
Location: Northern Ireland, Co. Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan
In this role, you will be responsible for developing sales plans, activities, and managing daily operations to implement the organization’s overall sales strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage sales plans and activities for the territory to execute the sales strategy for Ireland.
2. Ensure pricing is appropriate, accurate, and current.
3. Negotiate sales with existing and new key customers.
4. Contribute to sales, marketing, customer retention, advertising, and pricing strategies.
5. Identify and create new business opportunities.
6. Collaborate with the technical team for trials and troubleshooting.
7. Establish and maintain relationships with key decision makers.
8. Assist with credit management.
9. Develop new business through planned prospecting.
10. Report daily activities accurately and on time.
11. Report competitor activity, market trends, and new product developments monthly.
12. Participate in trade shows and relevant functions.
13. Handle queries, complaints, and requests efficiently.
14. Maintain a positive company image and confidentiality of records.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Qualifications:
* Leaving certificate or equivalent education.
* Minimum 5 years’ sales experience.
* Results-oriented and dynamic.
* Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in relevant science or paint technology.
* Experience in coatings industry, knowledge of industrial application equipment, kitchen cabinet, and exterior joinery sectors.
Travel Requirements: 80% (time spent away from home).
