Water Treatment Process Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Process Specialist to join our Operations team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in wastewater and drinking water treatment processes, who is flexible, self-motivated, and capable of managing their time effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
* Travelling to various water and wastewater treatment plants throughout the Munster area to carry out operational duties
* Working independently and occasionally with senior process specialists
* Conducting inspections, sampling, and analysis of wastewater and drinking water treatment plant processes
* Troubleshooting and resolving process issues on-site
* Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiency measures, with ongoing monitoring
* Participating in role-specific training as required
* Operating drinking water and wastewater treatment plants as required
* Liaising with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, process, and on-site operators/supervisors
* Calibrating laboratory and monitoring equipment
* Monitoring and interpreting data from SCADA control systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience in wastewater and water treatment processes
* Laboratory analysis skills
* Proficiency in PC applications such as Excel and Word
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Degree in Environmental Science or other relevant science/engineering degree
* Full Irish driving licence
* 3-5 years experience in water and wastewater process optimisation
