Information OfficerPermanent, Part‑time, 17½ hours per week, South Munster CIS – Cobh Office, County Cork.OverviewSouth Munster Citizens Information Service is seeking a permanent, part‑time Information Officer.Key tasks include the direct delivery of information, advice, advocacy and referral services, and liaison with other service providers, both statutory and voluntary.QualificationsExcellent communication, research and IT skills are required. A Leaving Certificate and/or equivalent education is required. Ideally, a higher‑level qualification in a relevant field (social policy, human rights, social work/social care practice, legal qualification, etc.) or substantial previous work experience in a busy information/advice/advocacy environment is desirable.Benefits and ConditionsPermanent post, subject to completion of a six‑month probationary period.Full‑time salary scale: €33,992‑€51,862, including 2 × Long‑Serving Increments (pro‑rata for part‑time staff).Annual leave entitlement: 23–25 days (after 5 years’ service).Pension: 5% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution. Membership is mandatory.Incremental credit: New entrants are appointed at point one of the salary scale.
