Description Overview
In this role you will help lead the Security Department's goal of providing enterprise security risk management strategies.
The Security Supervisor will oversee the security operations for their assigned location and train others on physical security equipment, loss prevention, emergency management, and crime prevention services.
These services safeguard Perrigo's people, products, places, and assets by mitigating liability, threats, risks, and vulnerabilities.
The Security Supervisor is the face of the Security Department and plays a critical role in protecting Perrigo's people, property, and assets.
Scope of the Role
Oversee contract security team personnel and crime prevention strategies, including preparing daily reports on events, accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
Manage access control and investigative services for colleagues, contractors, and visitors in a professional manner.
Support local emergency and crisis response operations coordinating with the Global Security Operations and Communications Center (GSOCC).
Supervise preventative maintenance for all physical security equipment coordinating with Security Program Administrators.
Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination to contracted security specialists, support security projects and special event planning and execution.
Follow the incident reporting process ensuring reports are accurate, complete, and maintained for accountability.
Utilize the access control and video systems to safeguard personnel, property, and assets from diversion, theft, destruction, and physical harm.
Enforce and monitor visitor, contractor, service provider, and employee card access policies.
Evaluate and manage the response to emergency situations, coordinating that response with local police (Garda), emergency medical responders, and fire personnel.
Assist with response efforts for European emergencies involving Perrigo colleagues, facilities, and travelers.
Provide support for workplace violence incidents, safety issues, substantial injuries, access control violations, suspicious activity, asset escorts, vehicle accidents, and other events posing risk to life, health, or safety.
Experience Required
This position requires initiative, strong situational awareness, and sound judgement.
The ideal candidate will be service-oriented while effectively enforcing security and corporate policies and procedures.
They must demonstrate excellent communication skills (in the English Language), multitask efficiently, solve complex problems and be customer service oriented.
You must also possess the following skills:
Must hold current Private Security Authority (PSA) license.
Security Guarding Skills QQI Level 4 Minor Award
Door Security Skills QQi Level 4 Minor Award
Minimum 5 years' experience in the security industry and/or law enforcement with 3 years of prior leadership experience.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated experience leading emergency drills, health & safety awareness, and incident reporting.
Familiarity with access control, CCTV monitoring concepts, and general security technology.
Computer skills that include Microsoft and iOS programs.
Training development and instructional skills.
Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
Ability to interact cordially, professionally and communicate effectively with the public and liaison with law enforcement as directed.
Ensures operation of security equipment and programs by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
Responds to emergencies in an orderly manner utilizing proper training and following all SOPs and post orders.
