Job Description & Summary
PwC R&D Incentives Group is the leading provider of R&D incentive services to technology and engineering companies in Ireland.
Our team delivers consultancy services to large multinational and Irish technology companies, assisting them with R&D tax credit claims, RD&I grants and other incentive programmes.
These programmes help attract high-value investment to Ireland and drive innovation jobs.
What We Do
Engage with clients' engineering/software development teams to identify projects that qualify for R&D tax credits.
Collaborate with clients to prepare focused R&D incentive documentation and finalize claims.
Design processes and methodologies that leverage clients' systems and data to produce analysis and reports.
Analyse and model costs and expenditures related to R&D activities, reviewing eligibility for claims and grants.
Assist with preparing, reviewing and finalising financial files related to R&D incentive programmes.

Trainee members of the group will assist in delivering client programmes, develop key client relationships, mentor junior colleagues, build business skills, and establish a market profile as a subject-matter expert in R&D incentives.
What Does This Role Offer?
As a Senior Associate you will work within a dynamic team of 20 professionals, ranging from engineers and scientists to tax and accounting experts.
You'll tackle complex, high-impact assignments for leading multinational organisations and innovative Irish start-ups.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of assigned projects, lead the preparation and delivery of R&D incentive claims, and ensure compliance with legislation and PwC standards.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client developers and engineers, facilitating discussions to identify eligible R&D activities and maintain strong relationships.
Support managers in end-to-end delivery of incentive programmes, coordinating with cross-functional teams and meeting project deadlines.
Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to expand services, preparing proposals, and participating in client pitches.
Mentor junior team members, delegating tasks and reviewing work for accuracy and quality.
Champion digital transformation within the team, adopting and implementing tools that streamline processes.
Lead data modelling and analysis to produce dashboards and reports that translate financial data into actionable insights for clients.
Take responsibility for your career progression by seeking feedback, engaging in training, and setting development goals.
About You – Key Competencies & Experience
Computer science, data analytics, or engineering qualification, or a strong technology industry background combined with finance/business qualifications (not critical).
Minimum 3-4 years post-qualification experience within industry or professional services.
Strong verbal and written communication, especially in report writing.
Excellent relationship management skills and adaptability to diverse stakeholders.
Strong digital and technical skills.
Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
Team-working and mentoring capabilities.
Ambitious with a strong commitment to self-development and progression.
Energetic, creative, and able to propose new ideas and solutions to deliver value for clients.
