Overview
Limerick City and County Council invites applications from suitably qualified persons, who wish to be considered for inclusion on a panel from which temporary and permanent vacancies for Executive Engineer may be filled throughout the lifetime of the panel.
Responsibilities
* Executive Engineers are appointed to a wide variety of roles across the Council, including management and successful delivery of major and minor capital projects; management and delivery of services; and supervision of assigned staff.
* The Executive Engineer provides technical and managerial support across local authority service areas (Planning, Housing, Roads & Transportation, Environment, Municipal/Metropolitan District Offices, Capital Projects, etc.) and liaises with external agencies to support the democratic process. The role may also include responsibility for the management and supervision of assigned staff.
* The person(s) appointed will work under the direction and control of the Senior Engineer or Senior Executive Engineer or other officer designated by the Director of Services or the Director General. The Executive Engineer will work closely with elected representatives to deliver the full range of services and implement local policy decisions.
Salary and Hours
Salary €59,658 - €82,929 per annum. Annual Leave 30 days per annum. Hours of Work: five day, 35 hours per week; hours may vary from time to time.
