is looking for an experienced Transport Operations Specialist on behalf of a leading logistics company based in Lusk, Co.
Dublin.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with both day and night shifts available — ideal for a transport professional ready to take ownership of a busy, high-performing operation.
About the role
You will be a central coordination point across the full transport function — working alongside planners, drivers, customers, and depot teams to keep operations running smoothly, safely, and on time.
This is a hands-on, varied role with real impact from day one.
What you'll be doing
Supporting daily planning and execution of transport schedules
Monitoring vehicle movements and managing short-notice changes and delays
Assisting with route optimisation and resource utilisation
Acting as the key point of contact for drivers during live operations
Ensuring full compliance with drivers' hours, working time rules, and RSA regulations
Liaising with workshop and fleet teams on vehicle availability
Communicating with customers on collections, deliveries, and service issues
Updating Transport Management Systems (TMS) and maintaining accurate records
Tracking KPIs including on-time delivery and fleet utilisation
Supporting POD, invoicing, audits, and incident reporting
What we're looking for
Previous experience in a transport or logistics operations role — essential
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
Confident communicator with solid problem-solving ability
Knowledge of Irish/EU transport regulations — an advantage
Experience with TMS or fleet management systems — an advantage
Background in haulage, logistics, or distribution — desirable
Proactive, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
