The successful candidate will support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment across the site, ensuring adherence to GMP standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine and reactive mechanical maintenance on production and utility equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.Support equipment changeovers, calibrations, and validations as required.Maintain accurate records of work performed in line with GMP and ALCOA+ principles.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure all work is carried out in compliance with site SOPs, GMP, and safety regulations.Complete documentation (e.g., CMMS, logbooks, work orders) to required standards.Participate in audits and inspections, providing technical input and documentation as needed.Team CollaborationWork closely with cross-functional teams including E&I technicians, operations, and quality.Participate in daily shift handovers and weekly team meetings.Support training and mentoring of junior technicians where applicable.Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities for equipment reliability improvements and cost savings.Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPAs).Support implementation of site-wide capability frameworks and upskilling initiatives.Qualifications & ExperienceRecognized Mechanical Trade Qualification (e.g., QQI Level 6 or equivalent).Minimum 3 years’ experience in a maintenance role within a GMP/pharmaceutical environment.Strong understanding of mechanical systems including pumps, valves, HVAC, and utilities.Familiarity with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo) and GMP documentation practices.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, regulated environment.Desirable SkillsExperience with cleanroom environments and aseptic processes.Knowledge of EHS standards and participation in safety audits.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Flexibility to work across shifts and respond to out-of-hours callouts if required.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.
