Cost Accountant
About our role:
We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our team. As a Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial resources of our organization are managed effectively and efficiently.
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising various accounting activities to ensure that financial resources are managed in accordance with accounting principles and comply with relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
2. Performing financial analysis and reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and asset accounting.
3. Setting the standard cost for products, including costing over the long-range plan (3-5 years), and presenting to Senior Management.
4. Assisting the Controller in preparing Plan/LBE (latest best estimate/forecast) preparation, including submission of Profit and Loss and Balance sheet and all related analysis.
5. Providing business analyst support to manufacturing departments to assist in goal achievements and cost reduction projects.
You will be responsible for:
* Managing fixed assets, including tracking, reporting, physical inventory, and controlling.
* Developing a schedule for internal audits and overseeing completion to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
* Reviewing RCEs (request for capital expenditure) and project expense, and reporting on a monthly basis.
* Maintaining Environmental Health & Safety standards and adhering to EHS regulations and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Professional qualification in accountancy and/or degree in accounting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* 2-4 years' experience in the manufacturing industry.
