With the reopening of the historic Druids Glen Golf Course, the new members' Clubhouse and facilities and upgraded 17th century Woodstock House, we are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Clubhouse Operations Manager to join Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort.
As the Clubhouse Operations Manager you have overall accountability and responsibility for the day to day management and co-ordination of all activities at Druids Glen Clubhouse. Planning, organising and managing delivery of all hospitality services within all the operational business area within the clubhouse.
Role Responsibility
* Oversee all operational and functional areas of the clubhouse.
* Demonstrate excellent leadership and technical skills within a hospitality environment providing complete customer & member satisfaction at all times.
* To ensure a strong focus on training within the clubhouse which supports team development and achieving the high standards of the company.
* To ensure that emerging talent is nurtured properly within the clubhouse team so that future vacancies can be filled from within the company.
* Be a pro-active, motivated team player, committed and driven to achieving high standards and departmental goals.
* Submit, discuss and agree proposals and plans in order to improve standards, working conditions, control systems and maximise revenue.
* Liaise and communicate with the Hotel Manager on daily performance of outlets and highlight areas for improvement.
* The directing and monitoring of all clubhouse operations through a team of highly informed Managers and Team Leaders.
* Review weekly revenue, profitability and cash flow reports in line with The Resort reporting standards.
* Assist in preparation of annual budgets and periodic revised forecasts.
* To support the Management team in achieving agreed profitability expectations, whilst maintaining performance standards.
* Encourage and assist in creating a positive relationship between the clubhouse and the hotel in dictating a revenue strategy.
* To ensure rosters are accurate to business levels and flex according to business demands.
* Participates in public walk-throughs in all areas in clubhouse to ensure guest rooms, public space and back of the house areas are well maintained and preventative processes are in place.
* Develops an operational strategy for clubhouse that is aligned with the business strategy.
* Works with team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the operational execution of the strategy.
* Ensures direct reports hire, develop, and retain a diverse hourly and management workforce. As well, hires leaders who demonstrate strong functional expertise, creativity, and entrepreneurial leadership.
* Creates and sustains a work environment that embraces the Resort's culture, ensures fair and equitable treatment, and employee satisfaction to enable business success.
The ideal candidate
* Will have general hospitality operations experience.
* Proven ability to lead bar and lounge operations with a track record of delivering financial results, guest satisfaction, staff retention and employee engagement.
* Proven track record of stock management and the ability to deliver budgeted cost percentages.
* Proven track record of payroll management and the ability to achieve required payroll targets.
* Knowledge of organisational brand standards and track record of achieving relevant targets.
* Previous experience as an Manager incorporating clubhouse operations.
* Previous experience within the 5 star market is a distinct advantage.
