Operations ManagerCompany: CMCR EngineeringLocation: Northern Ireland (Office-Based / Hybrid Optional)Travel: Ireland & Europe (Travel May Be Required)Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: Competitive (DOE) + Performance BonusAbout CMCR EngineeringCMCR Engineering is a growing Northern Ireland-based company specialising in the supply of skilled mechanical engineering personnel, trades, and technical support services across a wide range of industrial and commercial projects.We work closely with leading contractors and engineering firms to deliver reliable, high-quality manpower solutions ensuring projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and on schedule.Due to continued expansion, we are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the business and support the Managing Director.Role OverviewThe Operations Manager will play a key leadership role within CMCR Engineering, ensuring the smooth running of internal operations, managing staff performance, supporting client requirements, and overseeing project resourcing and delivery.This role will operate primarily across Ireland and Europe, with travel required depending on project demands.The successful candidate will effectively act as the company's second-in-command, contributing to both strategic planning and daily operational leadership.This position is ideal for someone with strong operational leadership experience, particularly within mechanical engineering, construction, industrial services, or technical staffing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Business ManagementOversee the daily running of CMCR Engineering, ensuring all business functions operate efficiently.Manage internal systems, workflows, and procedures to support sustainable growth.Ensure operational targets, deadlines, and performance standards are consistently met.Work closely with the Managing Director on strategic planning and business development.Identify and implement process improvements across operations.Mechanical Engineering & Technical ResourcingCoordinate staffing and resourcing requirements for mechanical engineering projects.Liaise directly with clients to understand workforce needs and project timelines.Ensure suitable personnel are sourced and deployed efficiently.Support workforce planning across multiple sites and contracts in Ireland and Europe.Staff Management & PerformanceManage, support, and mentor internal staff and consultants.Monitor productivity, performance levels, and client satisfaction.Lead team meetings and provide guidance, training, and operational direction.Assist with onboarding and development of new team members.Client Relationship ManagementMaintain strong professional relationships with clients and contractors.Manage escalations, urgent staffing requirements, and operational issues effectively.Ensure service delivery consistently meets high professional standards.Support business development through both existing and new client relationships.Compliance & DocumentationEnsure full compliance with right-to-work regulations, documentation, and GDPR procedures.Maintain accurate workforce records, contracts, and project assignments.Oversee timesheets, attendance, and payroll coordination where applicable.Reporting & GrowthProvide weekly and monthly operational reports to the Managing Director.Track KPIs including placements, workforce utilisation, performance metrics, and client delivery standards.Support implementation of strategies to improve profitability and efficiency.Maintain high professional and brand standards across operations.Skills & Experience RequiredProven experience in an Operations Management role.Strong organisational, leadership, and decision-making skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage clients and staff professionally.Understanding of mechanical engineering, construction, or industrial project environments.Experience in workforce planning, staffing coordination, or recruitment operations.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and reporting tools.Desirable (Not Essential)Experience within industrial staffing, contract labour, or engineering services.Knowledge of payroll processes, timesheets, and workforce compliance.Full UK driving licence.What We OfferCompetitive salary based on experience.Performance-based bonus structure.Clear progression pathway into senior leadership.Direct collaboration with the Managing Director.A pivotal role in a growing, engineering-focused business operating across Ireland and Europe.How to ApplyTo apply, please submit your CV along with a short cover letter outlining your experience and suitability for the role.Email your CV: WhatsApp: For more information, visit: We look forward to hearing from youJob Type: Full-timePay: €55,000.00-€88,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
