About the Role
A leading professional body is seeking a Financial Accountant to support its Finance function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys financial reporting, business partnering, and improving systems and processes.
What You'll Do
1. Prepare monthly accounts, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
2. Act as finance business partner for the Education segment
3. Manage financial statements and audits for subsidiaries
4. Support tax compliance and regulatory reporting
5. Develop KPIs and performance insights for decision‑makers
6. Contribute to finance system upgrades and automation projects
7. Provide financial analysis for strategic initiatives
8. Present reports to senior leadership and Boards
What You'll Bring
9. Qualified accountant (3–5 years' PQE)
10. Strong financial reporting and controls background
11. Experience in multi‑entity or complex environments
12. Advanced Excel and MS Office skills (Dynamics GP a plus)
13. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and stakeholder skills
14. Proactive, detail‑oriented, and commercially aware
15. Interest in systems, data, and continuous improvement
