About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bar Manager to lead Bar operations within The Galmont Hotel & Spa. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional to drive service excellence, lead a dynamic team, and deliver an outstanding guest experience in one of Galway’s leading hotels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operations of Coopers Bar & Lounge, a vibrant and stylish outlet within The Galmont Hotel & Spa, & function bars ensuring smooth and efficient service
Deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high standards of service and presentation at all times
Manage, train, and motivate the bar team to achieve performance and service excellence
Oversee staff scheduling, rostering, and labour cost control
Ensure consistent quality in beverages, cocktails, and food service in collaboration with the kitchen team
Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and control beverage costs to maximise profitability
Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and innovative bar offerings
Maintain compliance with health & safety, HACCP, and licensing regulations
Handle guest feedback and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
Work closely with senior management to achieve departmental KPIs and targets
Requirements
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Bar Manager or senior supervisory role within a busy hotel or high-volume bar
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and bar operations
Proven ability to manage costs, stock control, and budgets
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
