We are expanding our delivery team and seek a Salesforce Functional Consultant who blends rigorous business analysis with a declarative-first mindset to design solutions that land smoothly and scale elegantly.What you'll doRequirement Gathering & Analysis – Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops to map processes, pain points and objectives; translate findings into clear, testable requirements and user stories.Solution Design – Architect end-to-end business solutions using Salesforce best practice; produce configuration workbooks, data models, and logical designs across Sales, Service and related clouds.Configuration & Customisation – Build with clicks, not code: Flows, Process Builder (legacy remediation), Validation Rules, page layouts, Lightning apps, custom objects/fields and permission sets.User Training & Support – Plan and deliver role-based enablement, quick-reference guides and floor-walking support to drive confident adoption and measurable outcomes.Project Delivery – Contribute across the full lifecycle: discovery, estimates, documentation, testing/UAT, data readiness, cut-over and post-go-live hypercare.Stakeholder Engagement – Communicate progress and issues clearly, present solution options, and manage expectations with sponsors, product owners and end-users.Risk Management – Surface delivery and adoption risks early; propose pragmatic mitigation plans and ensure decisions are captured and traceable.What you'll bringConsultancy pedigree: 3+ years' experience delivering Salesforce projects within a Salesforce consultancy (not solely in-house).Platform fluency: Strong knowledge of Salesforce core platform and major clouds (Sales, Service; Experience and/or Marketing advantageous).Declarative expertise: Confident with Flows, Validation Rules, Assignment Rules, approval paths, page/layout design, security model and data model design.Business analysis: Skilled at process mapping, requirements elicitation and converting needs into elegant, maintainable Salesforce solutions.Communication: Polished written and verbal skills; comfortable facilitating workshops and presenting to mixed technical/non-technical audiences.CRM insight: Understanding of contemporary CRM practices, data quality, adoption strategies and change management.Nice to have: Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and/or Consultant certifications; basic knowledge of release management (Change Sets/DevOps tooling).Location & Right to WorkYou must be physically based in Ireland or the UK and able to travel to client sites when needed.You must hold the right to work in your country of residence (Ireland or the UK).Why VanguardImpactful work with a lean, senior team who value craftsmanship and candour.Meaningful autonomy, clear progression, and support for certifications and continuous learning.Competitive package with performance bonus, pension, and flexible working.How to applySend your CV (and a short note on a recent declarative solution you're proud of) Please include your location (Ireland/UK) and notice period.Vanguard Cloud Consulting is an equal opportunities employer.
