**Hybrid 2 days office** Dublin or Cork office ** Specific Purpose**The Role:The Commercial Finance function within Gas Networks Ireland Finance is responsible for ensuring the business remains commercially focused through its large customer accounts, managing the relationship with the CRU and other parties, Trading and Settlements, Demand Planning, Tariff setting and Price Control Reviews. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Analyst, the role will involve applying financial models to produce revenue and tariff information, preparing reports, papers and presentations for approval.Develop detailed understanding of and monitoring compliance with the ROI regulatory contractsPreparing the annual ROI Regulated revenue & tariff submission for the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU), the national independent energy regulatorSupporting the regulatory tariff reporting processBuilding tariff and revenue models and undertaking financial analysis as part of Price Control Reviews, Corporate/Business Plan and Budget processes, and EU gas market developmentsEvaluating and presenting commercial initiatives and their financial impact on tariffs, and on both the GNI and GNI(UK) businessesParticipating in ENTSOG tariff work groups and analysing impact of EU directives on tariffs structures in ROIAnalysing and preparing responses to gas industry consultations at National and European levelDevelop different transportation tariff structures for the Irish gas market, including Biomethane, Hydrogen and CNG tariff developmentEvaluating, drafting and presenting of various proposals to the CRU (e.g. connection policy issues, tariff structure, and revenue recovery etc.)Preparing revenue projections for both regulated and unregulated revenue streams, including the GNI(UK) and Northern Ireland businessCalculating revenues to be invoiced in accordance with unregulated contracts, including the GNI(UK), PTL, Corrib, IOM, EPS etc. businessesProviding commercial analysis and support on periodic updates of the GNI Siteworks Charging DocumentProviding financial analysis to facilitate decision makingMonitoring monthly Transportation revenue invoicesMonitoring compliance with the Northern Ireland regulatory contractEnsuring that the regulatory and commercial intent of contracts are implemented appropriatelyAny other duties that may be assigned from time to timeKnowledge, Skills and Experience:Third level degree in Engineering/Business/Finance/Economics/Mathematics/Science or equivalent3 - 5 years’ experience, ideally in the energy industry with an understanding of the regulatory environment in IrelandProven financial/numerical modelling skills in Microsoft Excel is essential e.g. ability to build macros.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to generate innovative technical solutions as requiredYou will be a natural collaborator seeking out opportunities to share knowledge and improve results.You will have a clear communication style and will be able to influence others effectively.You are comfortable with change and have a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for improvements and efficiency.You have demonstrated a commitment to developing new skills in yourself and others.You are results focused and have a track record of getting results through others.You are comfortable with making and taking appropriate decisions.You are committed to providing excellent customer service and have a track record of delivering excellence through others.Applications, including current Curriculum Vitae, should be emailed to the following address stating the job title and reference number in the subject line of your email: recruit@gasnetworks.ieThe closing date for receipt of applications for this vacancy is the 29th of August 2025.
