Job Summary
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Assembly Operative to carry out various tasks in our busy manufacturing factory. The ideal candidate will have some mechanical/DIY/manual experience, excellent communication skills and a high degree of mechanical aptitude. The successful applicant will be responsible for operating production equipment and finishing products, demonstrating flexibility, attention to detail and a strong work ethic in a manual work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Use power tools such as drills, saws and abrasive tools.
Measure and mark out materials.
Cut materials to size as outlined on drawings.
Perform general mechanical fit out of modular structures.
Position and fit parts for welding.
Follow instructions issued by the supervisor/manager and complete them.
Ensure safety standards are always met.
Key Skills & Competencies
Read basic engineering drawings.
DIY background.
Previous construction trade may be an advantage.
Problem solving skills.
Good hand‑to‑eye coordination.
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
