The Hosted Execution (HEX) team is looking for a Contract DevOps Engineer to join and deliver strategic goals for Amazon Global Infrastructure Runtime for Developers (GRID) systems.

You will be responsible for customer support, migrations, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer engagement and identifying opportunities for automation to improve developer productivity.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, have good verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, be able to juggle multiple tasks at once, work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.
And lastly, you must be customer-focused with creative problem-solving skills and have experience supporting technology teams.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
Experience scripting in modern programming languages
Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
