Built Heritage Officer
The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Conservation, the Built Heritage Officer will have key responsibilities for project management and development of The Irish Walled Towns Network, the Adopt a Monument programme and the European Heritage Label in Ireland.
About the Job:
* To manage and develop The Irish Walled Towns Network (IWTN), a membership of 33 member towns located across 17 local authority areas including Northern Ireland.
* To coordinate research and publishing user-friendly advisory material for member towns.
* To provide guidance and assistance to member towns through grants for town wall conservation, community festivals, and heritage interpretation, as well as training community groups on how best to use their town's heritage for local benefit.
* To manage Ireland's participation in the European Heritage Label, a unique label awarded by the European Commission every two years to recognize the outstanding value of heritage sites in Europe.
Skills and Qualifications:
