A HR Director is needed for our Cork based hospitality and leisure client. This is a senior role as part of the leadership team covering all aspects of human resources management for the group businesses.
The Role
* To drive a customer service oriented and high-performance culture ensuring that the HR goals and activities are aligned to the business objectives and needs.
* To act as a trusted and strategic adviser to the business, partnering with the leadership teams to improve business and operational performance by delivering key strategic business plans and initiatives.
* As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, this role is expected to make a significant contribution to the leadership of the business.
Key elements of the role include:
* Develop and oversee a recruitment strategy that manages effective recruitment, using best practice and in line with Employer of Choice vision.
* Ensure that the Performance Management Programme is carried out on a regular and timely basis.
* Ensure preparation of an Annual Training Plan in line with budget.
* Drive systems and procedures which facilitate effective communications throughout the organisation.
* Manage and develop a compensation and benefits plan for the group.
* Manage HR team to achieve high levels of performance and results aligned with business needs.
* Ensure effective administration processes, harnessing software capability as appropriate.
* Carry out coaching of management and HR team to ensure they deal with all employee relations issues in the correct way.
* Ensure all Managers are trained in Irish Employment law issues and kept up to date of changes in legislation.
Requirements
* Membership of CIPD, Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resource, Education or related field.
* 10 years’ experience in HR roles with at least 3 at senior leadership level.
* Significant knowledge and experience in organisational development, engagement, recognition, change management, culture building, ROI, communication, learning and leadership development.
* Strong communication and people skills required.
* Previous experience of hospitality, leisure or retail sectors an advantage
* Detailed knowledge of Irish employment law and market knowledge needed
