Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Level 2 Network Engineer to provide advanced support across enterprise data center and network environments. The role requires strong hands-on skills with switches, routers, VLANs, and VOIP, along with a working knowledge of servers, storage, monitoring tools, and ITSM processes. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, incident management, and collaborating with internal, customer, and vendor teams to ensure smooth IT operations within SLA-based environments.Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Support & TroubleshootingConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot network devices including Switches, Routers, Wireless Access Points (Cisco preferred).Assign switch ports to VLANs and patch phone ports to switches.Troubleshoot and support Avaya VOIP phones (basic configuration).Diagnose and resolve fiber link issues between switches, escalating to remote teams when needed.Replace and troubleshoot network switch chassis/blades when required.Data Center OperationsConduct regular IDF room inspections (at least twice weekly) for cooling, UPS alarms, and PDU health.Perform IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, Disposal) activities for servers, storage, and network equipment.Provide support across Servers, Storage, and Networking hardware in enterprise environments.Monitoring & BackupWork with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Control-M, EMC Avamar, Data Domain.Interpret monitoring tool alerts and escalate issues appropriately.Support backup operations and assist with troubleshooting.Systems & ITSM SupportProvide basic administration of Windows Server (2003/2008), UNIX, Linux, Active Directory, Exchange, and File/Print Servers.Support server performance monitoring and troubleshooting.Log and manage incidents in ITSM tools (ServiceNow preferred) ensuring SLA compliance.Assist internal teams, customers, and vendors in technical troubleshooting.Required Skills & Experience5+ years hands-on experience in network and data center operations.Proficiency in network devices (Switches, Routers, Wireless APs); Cisco certification is a plus.Experience with VLAN configuration, VOIP troubleshooting, and fiber link management.Basic knowledge of backup technologies (EMC Avamar, Data Domain).Understanding of monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Control-M).Familiarity with Windows, UNIX, and Linux environments.Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in SLA-driven environments.English proficiency is mandatory; local language fluency is required.Willingness to work in 24x7 shifts with on-call availability.Good-to-Have SkillsKnowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools.Advanced understanding of server performance monitoring.Previous experience in medium-to-large enterprise hosting environments.Why Join Us?Be part of a mission-critical enterprise infrastructure team.Opportunity to work with global technical experts and diverse technologies.Gain experience across network, data center, and system administration domains.
