Main tasks and responsibilities.Transfer luggage, trunks and packages to and from rooms, loading areas or around the hotel by hand or using luggage carts provided.Supply guests of the hotel with directions, travel information such as services or points of interest when requested.Carry out tasks on the daily porters listCleaning tasks relating to public areas to include windows outside hotel, entrance area to hotel, front door of hotel, lobby area of hotel, piano lounge area, public toilets, watering of plants inside the hotel area, maintaining cleanliness of public areas,Fire places and fuel storage press to be kept clean, tidy and adequately stocked up. Fires to be lit and maintained all day.Meeting room set up, cleaning and servicing all day. Meeting rooms must be left clean and tidy at all times if a meeting is ongoing at end of your shift a restaurant manager must be informed to ensure that everything is cleaned and tidied and re set in this room before the end of their shift.Also relating to meeting rooms an adequate supply of stationary must be maintained and equipment should be checked regularly to ensure it is in good working order. Any problems must be reported to your manager immediately.Bar tending duties including service of drinks, charging of bills, cash handling and reports, cleaning and service duties.Miscellaneous duties will be allocated to you daily and must be completed within your shift.
