* Salary: €56,081 - €66,045 (based on Government pay policy)
* Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours/week
Responsibilities
1. Clinical Nursing Practice: Demonstrate leadership, maintain clinical skills, assess patient needs, plan and provide nursing care, collaborate with specialists, supervise staff, ensure documentation accuracy, inform and counsel patients and families, participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
2. Effective Teamwork: Promote staff morale, support change management, ensure safety policies, handle visitors, enforce professional standards, address staff conduct issues, investigate complaints, participate in staff orientation and training, oversee Healthcare Assistants and Ward Clerks, ensure proper record-keeping.
3. Workload Estimation & Staffing: Assess patient needs, allocate work, manage supplies, plan staffing levels, advise on staffing requirements, arrange breaks, monitor attendance, prepare duty rosters.
4. Education & Staff Development: Identify training needs, implement orientation, support staff education, participate in staff development programs, train new nurses, ensure policy adherence, support student training, act as role model.
5. Bed Management & Quality of Care: Assist in bed management, ensure safe admissions/discharges, monitor quality indicators, ensure policy adherence, evaluate care outcomes, ensure safety during procedures, identify hazards.
6. Budgeting & Resource Management: Control stock levels, prepare and evaluate budgets, promote resource efficiency, judicious use of agency staff.
7. Self Development: Keep professional knowledge current, maintain personal development records, participate in performance reviews, discuss development needs.
Qualifications & Criteria
* Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
* Minimum 3 years post-registration experience, with at least 1 year in a relevant specialty
* Demonstrate clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity
* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
* Maintain annual registration and PSAC with NMBI

* Recognised Management Qualification
