IT Systems Administrator Excellent opportunity for an IT Systems Administrator to join a thriving company in Co. Clare The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the on-site installation, maintenance and repair of Company information infrastructure including hardware, software, networking products, operating systems and telecommunications systems. The IT Systems Administrator will also provide desktop support for the technical infrastructure of a company and will also design and specify local area network hardware, software and telecommunications systems such as PCs, system software, software applications, printers, servers, routers, bridges, switches, modems, cabling and ISPs. Key Responsibilities: Back-up systems daily. Update security software daily. Provides internal departments with hardware and software end-user technical support and user training, where necessary e.g. induction of new employees. Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning access and provides helpdesk type advice and support. Works completely independently and has significant latitude to solve problems. Has complete understanding of infrastructure, diagnosis; resolves faults and operates systems. Administration and support of all Windows based server systems, in accordance with Company standards. Management of Active Directory and ERP System account setup and access. Communicates with other departments to report and give updates in relation to software, hardware and operations problems. Communicates with external IT team on any upcoming changes or requirements in relation to IT equipment, systems, or accounts. Monitors and controls the security access of the Information Systems. Participate in procurement of hardware and software. Be able to track issues, prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Key Requirements: Degree in Information Systems/similar essential. Excellent communication & interpersonal skills Proven experience in a similar role essential Network maintenance and support experience Good knowledge of all MS Windows operating systems Must have the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and isolate problems using all available resources. Previous experience Dell PC Hardware, Windows 2012 Server, Windows 11/10, Data Storage, Active Directory, SCCM & SQL Server Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage. Good knowledge of LAN/WAN/wireless technologies Be familiar with Anti Virus solutions, installation, and maintenance.
