The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the dnata transport fleet of up t0 30 HGV vehicles, the management of the Transport budget, on time performance and ensure the Company are compliant with all external parties.
Reporting in to the Service Delivery Manage, is required to focus on procedural, planning and development initiatives is a key enabler of the overall Department strategy and compliance in terms of Security, Health & Safety, Air Safety and our HACCP regime continues to represent a major challenge.
The Role Deliver On time performance (OTP) in line with Company targets.
Ensure the fleet and department is complaint, up to date and in best practice with all RSA regulations inclusive of Tachograph, drive hours regulations and all HGV motoring compliance (CPC) Shape and implement best practice within organisational structures and grading / roles within the section so as to optimise efficiencies and exploit synergies whilst maintaining a stable and flexible organisation.
Utilise robust, detailed planning seasonally and for all resources in order to flex smoothly with volume and activity Ensure Security controls are in place in line with AVSEC / DoT and internal policies to protect against breaches in airline security and support our loss prevention activities.
Manage Health & Safety / Air Safety policies and procedures within the section and Ramp environment ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Develop and consolidate positive and constructive relationships with internal and external agencies (DAA, EI Ramp, M50 Garage) etc. so as to enable informed and timely decision making and provide operational resilience.
Liaise, plan and work closely with relevant parties regarding Truck fleet maintenance provider Schedule / Budget etc. to support a stable operation and minimise associated costs Liaise and work closely with Director of Catering and other dept heads to develop strategies consistent with that of the Department regarding the ineffective and profitable introduction of additional 3rd Party business This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager.
The Requirements Experience at a Transport Management level Transport managers certificate C license holder Up to date CPC Demonstrable ability to work within a budget and fully understand the commercial implications of daily activity shows constant drive to remove cost Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work shift and weekends when required Be able to go through garda vetting and a 5 year background check
