Ground & Structural Operative – Residential Construction Location: Dublin Job Type: Full-time Salary: Competitive, based on experience About the Role Build Tech is a Design & Build contractor specialising in private residential construction, including new builds, extensions, renovations and deep retrofits.
We are now looking for an experienced Ground & Structural Operative to join our site team.
This role is suited to someone with hands-on experience in groundworks, foundations, drainage, concreting and structural alterations on residential projects.
This is a varied, project-based role.
You will be working across different stages of residential construction, not confined to a single task or trade.
Flexibility and a practical, problem-solving mindset are essential.
What the Role Involves You will be working under the direction of the Project Manager and Site Lead, carrying out works including, but not limited to: Groundworks & Foundations Site set-up and preparation Excavation works and foundation construction Drainage installation (foul and surface water)Backfilling and reinstatement Concrete & Structural Works Pouring, placing and finishing concrete Screeds, slabs and structural pads Structural alterations and reconfigurations Supporting structural steel installations Assisting with temporary works as required Residential Alterations Internal and external layout reconfigurations Making good following structural works Working safely within existing dwellings and live environments General Site Duties Setting out works in line with drawings Working alongside carpenters and other trades Maintaining a clean, safe and organised site Assisting with other tasks as required to keep projects moving As with all residential work, tasks will change as the project progresses.
Candidates must be comfortable working across different elements of the build rather than sticking to one type of activity.
