Do you have experience with complex seating/positioning needs? A well supported HSE Adult Disability Team in Longford is recruiting a motivated and committed Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join their multidisciplinary team.This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with recent experience in a similar role who is keen to build on their clinical expertise within a supportive service.Job Purpose: The Staff Grade Occupational Therapist will work as part of a multidisciplinary adult disability team, providing client-centred occupational therapy interventions to adults with intellectual disabilities.The role focuses on promoting independence, participation, and quality of life through evidence-based assessment and intervention, under the guidance and supervision of senior colleagues.Key Responsibilities: Carry out occupational therapy assessments to identify service users' needs, strengths, and goals Plan, implement, and evaluate individualised intervention programmes to support daily living skills, independence, and community participation Apply evidence-based occupational therapy approaches to address physical, sensory, cognitive, and functional challenges Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with HSE standards and policies Work collaboratively with families, carers, and members of the multidisciplinary team Participate in team meetings, service development initiatives, and ongoing professional development Engage in regular clinical supervision and reflective practice Essential Requirements: CORU registration as an Occupational Therapist Minimum of one year post-qualification experience, with recent experience working in a similar staff-grade role.Experience specifically with complex seating/positioning needs is essential.
