We provide best‑in‑class consenting support, technical advisory, project management and engineering services from feasibility through to construction and operation.About the CandidateThe ideal candidate will have recently completed or be close to completing a third‑level qualification in Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited). This is an ideal role for a motivated and organised individual with a keen interest in renewable energy, environmental policy and land‑use planning.You will join a supportive and collaborative team environment, working on real‑world wind and solar projects across Ireland and gaining exposure to entire project lifecycles.GES operates a flexible work environment with the ability for all employees to work from home. However, it is a requirement of this role that the successful candidate can commit to working in person at our company headquarters in Cavan for at least the first six months.About the RoleAssist with the preparation and submission of planning applications for renewable energy projects.Support the compilation of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and other planning documentation.Carry out desktop research, mapping and feasibility studies.Attend site visits and support stakeholder engagement activities.Work closely with senior planners and technical specialists across project teams.Desired SkillsHave a third‑level qualification in Planning (IPI or RTPI accredited) or be working towards obtaining one.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.Familiarity with Irish planning policy and legislation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with GIS or AutoCAD is a plus.A proactive mindset and willingness to learn.Full clean driving licence and access to own transport.What We OfferReimbursable business expenses.Defined contribution company pension.Permanent role with a 6‑month probation period.Training, mentorship and professional development opportunities.This is a fantastic opportunity to start your planning career with a company at the forefront of Ireland's renewable energy transition.
