The successful candidate will manage projects working with cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery of method establishment projects, stability studies, and product release testing programs for global clients. The Project Manager will be the primary communication link between the client and the laboratory. The role is based in our Dungarvan site. The day-to-day duties of the role include:
1. Lead the full project lifecycle of multiple concurrent projects from initiation through completion
2. Develop and maintain detailed project plans and timelines
3. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless execution
4. Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks and issues
5. Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to stakeholders
6. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
7. Facilitate regular project meetings, maintain documentation and follow up on actions to maintain momentum
8. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for global biopharmaceutical clients
10. Manage method establishment projects for complex analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, ELISA, cell-based assays, PCR)
11. Oversee late-phase and commercial method validation and transfer activities
12. Coordinate stability and release testing programs in compliance with regulatory standards (ICH, FDA, EMA)
13. Scope client requirements with the business development team and translate them into actionable project plans
14. Manage project materials and documents
15. Oversee development and approval of study materials on projects at assigned pharmaceutical clients
16. Risk identification/management and contingency planning
17. Coordinate management of resources and tasks to ensure availability/continuity of all logistics, materials, and technologies necessary as defined by scope of services
18. Proactively identify new opportunities to upsell Eurofins BPT services
19. Prepare, conduct, and document lessons learned activities as a handover of project results for documentation
Qualifications
* PMP or PRINCE2 certification
* Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field preferred
* Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a biopharmaceutical or CRO environment
* Strong understanding of analytical methods used in biologics and gene therapy product testing
* Experience managing client-facing projects in a regulated laboratory setting
* Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to travel for business (overnight trips are to be expected)
