Senior Medical Scientist Haematology Specialist
We are currently recruiting an experienced Medical Scientist to assist in implementing a clinical laboratory service that supports the clinical needs of our patients.
The successful candidate will have a Masters level qualification in a relevant area and 3 years or more clinical post qualification experience as a Medical Scientist in Haematology. They will also have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, be flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team, and be innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
The role involves participating in developing the Haematology service to meet the clinical needs of our patients and ensuring that the service is consistent with the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of the Hospital.
The successful candidate will participate in the implementation of operational processes to the standards of 'best practice', in order to optimise use of resources, co-operate in evaluating assays, equipment, consumable items and research projects, and perform tasks and duties in a manner that ensures compliance with relevant regulations so that the requirements of International standard ISO are met.
Essential Criteria:
* A registered Medical Scientist with CORU.
* Evidence of registration by including CORU certificate with application.
* Masters level qualification in a relevant area due to specialist nature of the role.
* 3 years or more clinical post qualification experience as a Medical Scientist in Haematology.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
Benefits:
* Salary from €66,000 - €88,000 per annum based on years of experience.
* Permanent, full-time contracts.
