New Activity Risk Management Lead Analyst

As part of our New Activity Risk Management Change Delivery Team, you will help enhance and implement the firm-wide New Activity process, including process design, business specific guidelines and required technology solutions. You will get opportunities to support the design and implementation of an enterprise-wide process of scrutinizing novel developments in the firm's business activities, support product risk rating and ongoing monitoring as well as support adoption of Product Taxonomy across the enterprise.

You will need to effectively partner with all the Markets, Banking, Services, Personal Banking and Wealth Management Businesses, Support and Control Functions and Second Line to support the implementation, develop the tech infrastructure and supporting enterprise-wide guidance / policy and allow for efficient and sustainable outcomes.


What you will do

1. Support the design and implementation of strategic solutions and processes, that enhance the New Activity Approval process, Product Risk Rating and Ongoing Monitory, Product Taxonomy Adoption
2. Support the execution of remediation with timely and effective outcomes against regulatory expectations
3. Continue to develop guidelines and training materials to facilitate the implementation of the New Activity Approval process, Product Risk Rating, Ongoing Monitory and Product Taxonomy Adoption
4. Ensure strong ongoing engagement by the Business and Functions that participate in the product approval and governance process
5. Update on-going reports providing metrics and updates for monitoring progress and updates to senior management
6. Create ad hoc reports and presentations, as necessary, for socialization and periodic updates.
7. Partner with key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization (business & functions) to accomplish goals.
8. Escalate program risks to the Program Manager, when appropriate


What we need from you

* Demonstrated relevant experience including supporting risk management, compliance, or governance and controls related roles
* Strong knowledge of relevant businesses and products and their risk profile and ability to apply this knowledge to specific situations
* Experience in a role that requires problem solving, analytical capabilities, some strategic thinking, and project management
* Solid organizational skills, ability to multi-task and identify issues.
* Excellent interpersonal skills while working across multiple functions and teams. Ability to build effective internal and external networks
* Proven ability to partner and collaborate across the Firm, excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills, with the ability to build relationships, partner effectively and build a strong internal network across functions and throughout the global Risk organization.
* Engages key stakeholders early and often and actively looks for opportunities to improve collaboration in achieving common goals.
* Ability to communicate clearly, to think and act independently, and to know when to ask for guidance from more experienced officers or specialists.
* Ability to evaluate, negotiate, structure and/or monitor various aspects of project work-streams Integrity, honesty, sound judgment, common sense, and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and oral communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts, translate into 'user friendly' language and effectively present in text or slide format.
* Analytical, with the ability to comprehend complexity and engage strategically, analyzing and interpreting large volumes of data
* Is an enthusiastic and early adopter of change; takes ownership for helping others see a better future and stay positive during uncertainty.

* Undergraduate/Master's degree(s) with an analytical focus (e.g. finance, economics, engineering, mathematics etc.)
