This is a senior-level technical role responsible for the support, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of ICT infrastructure and services across the organisation. The role involves providing second and third-level support for both clinical and non-clinical systems, overseeing installations and configurations, and ensuring systems remain secure, efficient, and aligned with best practices.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, be self-motivated, demonstrate leadership and communication skills, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
 1. Provide senior-level support and troubleshooting for core ICT systems
 2. Manage installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
 3. Act as technical lead on major application and system implementations
 4. Build and configure new servers and environments
 5. Support and maintain cybersecurity tools and protocols
 6. Collaborate with third-party vendors to manage system integrations and service delivery
 7. Ensure documentation and compliance with relevant ICT standards and policies
 8. Assist in ICT project planning and delivery
 9. Provide input into IT strategy and service improvement initiatives
Essential Experience
 10. In-depth knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls
 11. Experience leading major application installations
 12. Strong background in Microsoft Server infrastructure
 13. Experience in ICT project management
 14. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and processes
 15. Comfortable working with third-party service providers
 16. Working knowledge of wireless infrastructure, SAN (Storage Area Network), and Fibre Channel
Desirable Experience
 17. Experience with VMware vCenter/vSphere in high-availability environments
 18. Familiarity with LAN networking devices and associated systems
 19. Experience with Veeam Enterprise Backup solutions
 20. SAN network topology and management experience
 21. Microsoft or Cisco certifications
 22. Previous experience in a healthcare, education, or regulated sector is a plus
Qualifications & Requirements
 23. Honours degree or postgraduate qualification in Computing / IT
 24. Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar ICT support or infrastructure role
 25. Strong knowledge of:LAN/WAN/VLAN topologiesTCP/IPActive DirectoryVirtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware)Windows ServerVeeam backup solutions
 26. MCP, CCNA or CCNP certification required
