Overview
Night Porter role at The Address Collective.
Purpose: To ensure that guest queries/needs are quickly and effectively met at night. Ensure that regular security checks and fire checks are carried out each night. To carry out a comprehensive night audit.
Responsibilities
* Arrive for work on time dressed neatly in a full clean uniform, well-groomed, with a name badge and presenting a professional appearance to guests.
* Receive a full handover from the Daily Porters, Receptionists on duty, and/or the Manager on duty.
* Complete docket checks as appropriate and inform the early Duty Manager of any discrepancies.
* Carry out security and fire checks at regular intervals (e.g., 12 am, 2 am, 4 am, and 6 am) or as required; log irregularities in the Handover book and report them to the Duty Manager.
* Efficiently check-in/out guests during duty hours and ensure luggage is brought/collected quickly.
* Deal with guest enquiries/needs quickly and effectively.
* Carry out any Lounge/Room Service orders after 11 pm to an agreed standard; maintain kitchen and food preparation areas in a clean manner.
* Collect Breakfast cards during floor checks and prepare/deliver Room Service; ensure early breakfasts are delivered on time and to standard.
* Cover Bar Service when bar staff have left, ensuring correct cash and stock procedures.
* Carry out cleaning as per the night cleaning schedule and clean public areas as assigned by management.
* Maintain the Premier Lounge; replenish stock as required.
* Ensure the reception desk and office are cleaned; refresh and prepare meeting rooms as needed.
* Clean public bathroom areas; ensure front areas of the hotel are tidy and debris-free.
* Set up meeting rooms to the agreed standard and check that all equipment is correct and in working order.
* Check the fax machine regularly and ensure guests receive any faxes or messages promptly.
* Complete a full report of night shift events in the diary and handover any problems/incidents to the Duty Manager, Receptionist, or Day Porter on duty prior to leaving.
* Additional and reasonable duties may be assigned as deemed appropriate by management.
