We are looking for a skilled and motivated Groundwork Foreman to manage day-to-day operations on a large-scale residential construction project in Midleton, Clare
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, and update construction programmes to meet project milestones
Supervise site operatives and subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow
Allocate work activities in line with construction plans and priorities
Conduct regular toolbox talks and ensure strict adherence to PPE and safety procedures
Coordinate site teams to maintain productivity and meet deadlines
Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations
Anticipate project requirements to minimise delays and disruptions
Support recruitment, training, and supervision of site personnel
Manage procurement, delivery, and use of materials, plant, and equipment
Liaise with management and other stakeholders to ensure smooth site operations
Required Skills & Experience:
In-depth knowledge of civil engineering groundworks
Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
Strong understanding of construction safety standards and best practices
Previous experience in a site supervisory or similar leadership role
Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to specification
Experience managing labour, materials, and plant efficiently
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: €17.55-€23.34 per hour
