Hotel Supervisor

The Lake of Shadows Hotel is a family run hotel, located in the seaside town of Buncrana. At the Lake of Shadows we pride ourselves on providing guests with a warm welcome, home from home food and a memorable visit.
We are currently recruiting for a candidate for a Supervisor role. We are looking for a strong leader, who's organised, hardworking and flexible. This role would suit someone with a strong Front of House, Food & Beverage background.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Supervise and coordinate daily activities across front of house, housekeeping, food and beverage and other operational areas.
* To ensure that guests are warmly welcomed and are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner
* Ensuring that service is delivered in accordance with agreed standards throughout the hotel operation
* To maximise revenue, profitability and quality goals by developing and executing up-selling strategies and by providing quality service and products to all guests
* To be familiar with hotels product offering (i.e. the menu, beverages, wine list, etc.)
* To ensure all areas are properly prepared and set-up prior to and after service
* Conduct routine security checks of the property with appropriate action taken
* To liaise with and assist in departments as required
* Handle complaints and guest queries that arise in a professional and efficient manner
* Managing rosters for the team
* Ensure that all employees are consistently motivated and engaged to deliver excellence in service
* Ensure a professional, friendly and courteous service
The ideal candidate will;
* Previous experience in a management or supervisory role
* Knowledge of hotel operating systems such as Property Management System software, desired
* Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
* Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to demonstrate great attention to detail
