Job Description
The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional engineering teams and driving operational performance improvements.
This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of daily engineering activities while driving long-term operational excellence.
Work collaboratively with Quality, Operations, EH&S, Finance, and Supply Chain to align engineering priorities with site and global objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support production and operational excellence.
2. Ensure the effective day-to-day management of engineering operations, enabling consistent delivery of manufacturing performance and minimal production downtime.
3. Lead the implementation of Business Excellence initiatives, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, waste reduction, and lean manufacturing.
What you will need:
* Level 8 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical, Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline;
* Master's degree or MBA preferred;
* Progressive experience in a high-volume, highly regulated manufacturing environment, with at least some experience in a senior engineering leadership role;
* Strong background in the medical device or orthopaedic manufacturing sector highly desirable.
