Responsibilities
Support laboratory operations within the facility, including equipment qualification (PQ), documentation generation of SOPs and work instructions, and contributing to lab and process establishment.
Perform supporting activities for general lab operations, including tasks such as facility testing, method verifications, troubleshooting, and execution of laboratory studies where required.
Review, trend, and report laboratory data to support generation of batch data, and to collate and analyze end-of-quarter and year-end data; maintain and release laboratory stock and order consumables where required.
Manage routine cleaning of laboratory equipment and maintain housekeeping standards, identifying continuous improvement opportunities in laboratory processes.
Respond to standard requests from partners, customers and clients (internal and external) and escalate to the manager when appropriate.
Participate in functional meetings and facilitate cross-functional meetings as required; support audits (internal and external).
Support site safety culture and company ways of work.
Assist with introducing novel, innovative solutions and support the testing of biologics within the facility.
Build team effectiveness by promoting team success and respecting diverse populations; support timely training and coaching of team members.
Be flexible to support changing business needs, including infrequent out-of-hours testing for exceptional circumstances.
Qualifications
A degree qualification in Biological Sciences or Engineering; background in microbiology preferred.
A minimum of 1–3 years' experience in a relevant academic or industry setting; internships and student placements may be considered in lieu of experience.
Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative in a constructive manner.
Some knowledge of biologics manufacturing and familiarity with microbiological testing techniques.
Knowledge of laboratory systems (e.g., LIMS, E-logs, MODA, and electronic notebooks).
Ability to think logically and be proactive under pressure.
A good knowledge of GMP, familiarity with USP, EP, and JP requirements.
