We are seeking a highly skilled IT Field Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an IT hardware environment with a strong background in Windows installations. They will be responsible for supporting customer's IT infrastructure and resolving technical issues on site. The role requires excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills as well as the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing Customer Sites: Travel to various locations around Tipperary daily, ensuring timely support for users
* Troubleshooting Technical Issues: Identify and resolve problems related to hardware/software configuration using Active Directory; escalate if necessary
* System Administration: Install/configure computer hardware & peripherals; set up new shared folders on existing shares
Necessary Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/related field (IT qualification is desirable)
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (report writing) strongly preferred, as well as good communication/documentation skills;
